Happy B-day Jakey Baby!

So his birthday was a week ago--did I mention somewhere that I'm often late? I started this post but it was so fun going through all the pictures and I couldn't find some of my favorites.

He was such a happy baby. Where have the nine years gone? He's always been my little teddy bear, enjoying all the hugs and kisses I can give. Though now he's one long, lean, tan and muscley big boy, he's still got a quota of hugs & kisses every day to fill. It was fun to reminisce over cake & ice cream for the many reasons to be thankful for Jake. He really wants to be good, though sometimes he forgets. He does his homework quickly & quietly--not complaining or crying. He's a very good student, getting the best grades of all. Of course he's so physically gifted excelling at all sports and I love to watch him compete, not just because he does so well, but because he has such a great attitude about it and he loves it. He's usually happy as long as the competition is fair and he's tried his best.

I'm looking forward to helping him and watching him grow up; seeing all the things he can do and learn and what he chooses to be. Of course, I'm praying everyday he stays on the right path. He seems to already have lots of girls that are friends. I've got lots more praying to do over this little guy!
